The Sibanthracite Group, the world’s leading producer of anthractite, is continuing to carry out its program to improve efficiency and increase the percentage of high-margin products it produces. One of the initiatives introduced new operational procedures for washing plants in the Novosibirsk Region, where Siberian Anthracite’s and the Vostochny Open-Pit mine’s coal is processed.
From August to December, the production of enriched concentrate increased from 19% to 25.2%, and this level is to be maintained in 2020, according to Dmitry Bosov, owner of The Sibanthracite Group.
As Sibanthracite’s chief enrichment specialist, Alexey Plotnikov, explained, the proportions of raw materials were optimized so that maximum output could be obtained during the processing cycle. The composition of the coal loaded for processing is balanced according to parameters such as size, mechanical strength, ash content, enrichment, and sulfur content.
The Sibanthracite group ranks first in the world in terms of the production and export of high-quality, Ultra High-Grade anthracite (UHG). “Enriched anthracite is one of the most popular and high-margin products in our line. Increasing its production strengthens the company’s position in the market,” says Alexey Slesarev, Deputy Commercial Director of the Sibanthracite Group.
